Luke began his construction career with Tangent Construction, where he gained hands-on experience in groundworks, including Tarmac, Concrete, Drainage, Kerbing, and Bricklaying. He contributed to major projects, such as the road structure reconstruction in Hartlepool.
In October 2021, Luke joined Seymour Skills Academy through the Kickstart and Gateway to Construction Programme to earn certifications and expand his skill set. He underwent extensive groundwork training, which led to a role with Seymour Civil Engineering, working on prestigious projects like HS2 and the A1 Birtley to Coalhouse upgrade.
Luke’s development was guided by his mentor, Peter Bonarius, whose expertise in drainage helped him bridge the gap between theory and practical application.
After serving as a Training Instructor at Seymour Skills Academy, Luke has now transitioned to a site-based role within the construction industry.
